Analog vs Digital Sound
Digital Sound:
A digital recording is a series of numbers that correspond to the sound's continuous variations, but the numbers have to be reconverted to analog signals before they can be listened to.Sound waves that have been sampled, digitized and stored in the computer. Common formats are music CDs, MP3, WAV and AIFF, and software-based players play the largest variety of audio formats.Analog sound:
An analog recording corresponds the variations in air pressure of the original sound. Before audio recording became digital, sounds were "carved" into vinyl records or written to tape as magnetic waveforms.
No wonder analog and digital sound so different from each other.
Analog just sounds better than digital. Because you hear humans making music; with digital it's more about sound for sound's sake.
